Men’s Tennis Shutout at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Feb. 26, 2022) – Morgan State University men's team was shutout by the Navy Midshipmen, 7-0, on Saturday morning at the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis, Md.

Singles (1,2,3)
Gavin Seagraves posted a win against sophomore Rhajzon Rankins in court one action as he pulled away with a 6-3, 6-1 win for the Mids.
 
Morgan veteran Nihit Rawal battled in a highly competitive match on court two before falling to Jack McBride, 6-4, 6-3. 
 
Sasha Panyan held on for a 6-2, 7-6(5) victory from court three against freshman Niles Rachal.
 
Luke Garner withstood a push from senior Sebastian Lopez and ended up recording a 6-4, 6-2 victory on court four.
 
Sophomore Martial Kawunde was blanked by Navy's Will Pak, 6-0, 6-0, on court six. 
 
Doubles (1,2)
The Mids clinched the doubles point with wins on courts one and two.
 
Nihit Rawal and Mikeal Carpenter were dropped, 6-1, against the pairing of Seagraves and Finn Garner.
 
Jack Dabek and Jake Fishkin claimed a 6-2 victory from court two against sophomore Martial Kawunde and senior Sebastian Lopez.  
 
Rachal and Rankins fell to Luke Garner and Sasha Panyan, 6-2, on court three.
 
Next Up:
Morgan State (1-3) returns to action when they host the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday, March 5. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
