Rawal Named MEAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 16, 2022—Morgan State graduate student Nihit Rawal was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. 
 
Rawal picked up singles and doubles wins in the Bears' victory this past Saturday over Lehigh. He won his No. 3 singles match against Matt Kleiman, 7-6, 6-3, and he paired with Mikeal Carpenter for a 7-6 doubles win over Zack Elliott and Marc Blekhman.
 
The Chandigarh, India product has now won MEAC Player of the Week honors six times in his career, as Rawal also took home the award once last season (Feb. 10, 2021). 

Rawal will lead the men's team back into action in Annapolis for a matchup versus the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, Feb. 26. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
