BALTIMORE, Md. (April 21, 2021)-The Morgan State softball team will visit the City of Brotherly Love on Thursday to take on Drexel in a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch between the Lady Bears and the Dragons is slated for 2 p.m. at the Drexel Softball Field in Philadelphia, Pa.

The doubleheader contest, which was originally scheduled for March 31 and got postponed, will air live on DragonsTV and FloSports ($), as well as on the Morgan State Softball Twitch channel.

The Lady Bears (14-12) enter the contests after going 1-2 during last week's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Round-Up against the league's southern division foes in Orangeburg, S.C. Morgan State earned a 5-2 victory over North Carolina Central (4/18) in the weekend finale.

Drexel (18-6), winners of three of its last four games, is coming off an 11-2 non-conference victory at Penn on Wednesday. The Dragons are 11-1 this season at home.

Next up for Morgan State will be a trip to another CAA opponent and a familiar foe in crosstown rival Towson on Wednesday, April 28. The doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m. at the Tiger Softball Stadium.

Towson won the first meeting this season by a score of 5-2 on April 14 to end a three-game losing skid to Morgan State.
