BALTIMORE, Md. (March 9, 2021)-After missing the first four weeks of the 2021 season due to either inclement weather or having to deal with health and safety protocols with coronavirus, the Lady Bears' softball team will finally take the field this Wednesday, March 10, when they host Kutztown in a non-conference doubleheader at Lois T. Murray Field. First pitch is at 1 p.m.
Â
While Wednesday's series will mark the return of Morgan State softball for the first time since  March 8, 2020, it will be done without fans, as Morgan State will not have fans in attendance at home softball games.
Â
2021 HOME PROTOCOLS: The 2021 softball season will be played without spectators in attendance at Lois T. Murray Field.
• The softball program will adhere to NCAA guidelines and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference policies and procedures, including COVID-19 testing protocols, while also operating in alignment with state and local public health officials.
• Lois T. Murray Field will operate with limited access only to include essential staff and personnel, including participating teams. Capacity restrictions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and adjusted as allowed as public health conditions and recommendations improve.
