BALTIMORE, Md. (March 26, 2021)-Valeria Otero recorded a match-high 10 kills, while hitting .348 for the match and Kristi Gomez added eight kills, as Delaware State put a damper on Senior Night at Morgan State with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-13) Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) victory on Friday evening at Hill Field House.
The loss was a season-long fourth straight for Morgan State (4-7, 3-6 MEAC), which ended its home slate with a 3-2 record. Delaware State (10-4, 6-3 MEAC), which a day earlier secured its first MEAC Tournament berth since 2010 with its four-set win over Morgan State, swept this season's three-match series. It marked the first time the Hornets swept the season series against Morgan State since the 2010 season.

Mykaela Ross recorded a match-high 10 kills, while fellow senior
Tylar Roberson added seven kills, but it wasn't enough. Senior
Jennevy Santos tallied nine digs and
Shadae Debraux finished with three kills and a dig in her final home match.
Freshman
Jourdan Page recorded a team-high 10 digs and had four kills, while junior
Jada Bivins tallied 14 assists and four digs.
Delaware State's Jelena Dukic totaled a match-high 20 assists and Alayna Lacy added 15. Maria Caratini collected a match-best 11 digs.
The Hornets finished the contest hitting .232 with 38 kills on 95 attack errors and 16 errors. Sydney Lewis had an attack percentage of .455 with five kills on 11 attempts and no errors. Mayah Ngundam added seven kills and an attack percentage of .385.
Morgan State was limited to an attack percentage of .000 for the match after totaling 25 kills on 91 attempts with 25 errors.
Lewis had a match-high six blocks, including three solos, to help the Hornets out block Morgan State, 8-0. The guests also totaled nine service aces and committed 11 errors. Morgan State tallied one ace for the evening.
The Lady Bears conclude the 2021 Spring season on Sunday, March 28 when they visit crosstown foe Coppin State. First serve is at 6 p.m. at the Physical Education Complex Arena on the Coppin State campus.
