WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 19, 2021)-The Lady Bears were unable to complete a four-match series sweep of rival Howard on Friday evening, as the Bison dealt Morgan State a 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-23) defeat in the series finale.

The loss ended a four-match winning streak over the Bison in the regular season, dating back to the 2019 season.

The Lady Bears fell to 4-4, 3-3 in the MEAC, while Howard improved to 3-9, 2-8 in the MEAC.

Tylar Roberson led Morgan with nine kills and
Mykaela Ross added eight.
Jada Bivins fell shy of a double-double, finishing with 15 assists and nine digs.

The Bison were led by Kailyn Williams and Marcelle Butler, who both recorded 11 kills. Williams, who hit for .409 for the match, also tallied a team-high nine digs. Milexa Cardona finished with a match-high 32 assists.

Howard limited the Lady Bears to an attack percentage of .052 with 27 kills and 22 errors on 96 attempts. The Bison finished the contest with 40 kills and an attack percentage of .284.
NEXT UP: The Lady Bears return to the court on Monday, March 22 when they visit Coppin State in a MEAC match at 6 p.m. at the Physical Education Complex.
