Morgan State Signs 20 During Early Signing Period

Group comprised of seven (7) junior college transfers, 13 high school seniors

BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 17, 2021) – Morgan State University head coach Tyrone Wheatley has capped off its early period of National Signing Day by announcing the signatures of 20 future Bear football student-athletes. 
 
The crop of signees is comprised of five (5) defensive linemen, four (4) offensive linemen, three (3) wide receivers, three (3) linebackers, three (3) cornerbacks and two (2) quarterbacks. The group includes seven (7) junior college transfers and 13 high school seniors. Members of Morgan's class hail from nine states. The DMV (Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia) is represented by five signees.
 
Ten (10) of Morgan's signees will join the program in January as early enrollees: cornerback Quincy Johnson, defensive lineman Ted Windom Jr., defensive lineman Keondre Hodges, defensive lineman Sean Morris, DL/LB Deshawn Willoughby, linebacker Carlos Carter, offensive lineman Daniel Casillas, offensive lineman Angelo Lloyd, wide receiver Terrence Isaac Jr., and wide receiver Jojo Kennerly.
 
Joseph "JoJo" Kennerly, a native of Deerfield, Florida, was the first Morgan signee to send in his NLI to open Wednesday's signing day at 7:05 a.m. ET.
 
The early signing period runs through the end of the day Friday with National Signing Day scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022.
