BALTIMORE, Md. (Jan. 19, 2021)-Morgan State redshirt-senior guard Dahnye Redd was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced on Tuesday. It is the first MEAC honor of the season for Redd, who shared the weekly honor with North Carolina A&T State's Chanin Scott.
 
Howard's Anzhane' Hutton was named MEAC Rookie of the Week, while Howard junior Krislyn Marsh was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Redd averaged 14 points and 6.5 rebounds to help Morgan State to a 2-0 weekend over Delaware State. On Sunday, the Darby, Pa. native totaled a game-high 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting, including 8-of-9 from the free throw line, while also tying a team-high seven rebounds in the win at Delaware State. In Saturday's one-point victory over the Hornets, Redd had eight points, six rebounds and two steals.
 
The Lady Bears (6-2, 3-1 MEAC), who are currently in a first-place tie in the MEAC Northern Division standings, will be off until Saturday, Jan. 30 and Sunday, Jan. 31, when they visit crosstown rival Coppin State for a two-game series. Both games tip-off at noon and will be played at the Physical Education Complex.
