BALTIMORE, Md. (March 12, 2019)-After playing its first 15 games on the road, and having its original home opener canceled due to snow, the Morgan State softball team will finally play at home when it welcomes South Carolina State for a doubleheader on Wednesday.
The two-game series will get underway at 1 p.m. at Lois T. Murray Field. The games will not count towards the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference standings.
The Lady Bears are 2-0 this season against S.C. State, having defeated the Lady Bulldogs twice by the scores of 8-0 and 11-3 during last weekend's Spartan-Pirate Classic in Norfolk, Va.
Morgan State (4-11), which is in the midst of a season-long three-game winning streak, is coming off a 2-1 victory over Iona (3/10) in the finale of the Spartan-Pirate Classic.
S.C. State (0-13) enters the contest coming off a doubleheader loss at former league foe Hampton on Tuesday.
