Bears Wrap Fall Season at Navy Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Morgan State men's tennis was represented by Sebastian Lopez, Serhii Kharchev and Oguzhan Ceylan at the 26th Annual Navy Invitational that concluded Sunday in Annapolis.

The Invitational included sudent-athletes from host Navy, Hofstra, Columbia, Delaware, State and Joseph PA.

Lopez led the way for the Bears finishing 3-1 in singles playing by winning his round robin, before losing against Delaware's Alvaro Arce Lopez-Sanchez in the championship match 7-6, 3-0.

Lopez then partnered with Kharchev for three matches in doubles and a went 2-1, followed by partnering with Ceylan and going 1-0. Lopez finished the Fall season by recording an 18-7 record in singles play.

Additionally, Kharchev went 3-1 in singles for the Bears winning his round robin, before falling to Navy's Conners O'Brien 6-3, 7-5 in the playoff match.

Ceylan went 2-2 in singles action for the weekend.

This was the last weekend of competition during the fall season for the Bears.
