BALTIMORE, Md. (Jan. 14, 2019)-Fresh off completing a successful five-game home stand (3-2), following a 62-51 victory over South Carolina State (1/12), the Lady Bears will head on the road for the first time in 2019, when they visit the Howard Lady Bison on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Burr Gymnasium in Washington, D.C. The game was originally scheduled for Monday, but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

Tuesday will be Morgan State's first trip to the Nation's Capital since Feb. 13, 2017, when the Lady Bears defeated Howard, 73-72 on two free throws by Tykyrah Williams with .4 seconds remaining in the game.

The Lady Bears, who as of late have been playing their best basketball of the season, head into the Howard contest, riding a two-game winning streak and winners of three of their last four games.

Howard has won two of its last three games and is 4-2 at home, including 2-0 in MEAC play this season.

"We already know Howard is a high powered offense. We've seen that in some of the bigger schools. So right now it's about us going in with a confidence level of containing shooters," said Morgan State head coach Ed Davis. "We've got to be the aggressors with more of the inside play. We've got to be more of the aggressors on defending the arc against Howard, because they like to catch and shoot. So the edge has to be with rebounding. It has to be with us being able to contain multiple shooters on each rotation of the basketball. That's their strength."
