Joel Roberson Leads Bears At Day Two Of Pepsi Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Senior Joel Roberson led the Morgan State men's track and field team after the second day of the Pepsi Florida Relays on Friday at Percy Beard Track, located inside James G. Pressly Stadium on the University of Florida campus.

Roberson highlighted the day for the Bears by clocking a top-10 time in the men's 400-meter dash, posting a 47.14.

Junior Devon Hairston ran a 15.54 in the 110 meter hurdles.  Hairston also finished 24th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.02, while teammate junior Stephen Varella placed 30th with a 54.51.

Junior Lloyd Hylton, who entered the meet ranked first in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (7.44m) in the long jump, had a leap of 7.05 (23-01.75) to finish 13th overall.

The final day of competition in one of the nation's premier collegiate and high school track meets is slated to begin on Saturday at 8 a.m. CDT. The meet will be streamed live on SEC Digital +.
