HAMPTON, Va. (April 17, 2016)-The Morgan State women's tennis team closed out the 2016 regular season with a 5-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division road victory over the Hampton Lady Pirates on Sunday afternoon at the Neilson-Screen Tennis Stadium.
Â
The Lady Bears concluded the regular season with a 7-10 overall mark and finished 4-2 in the MEAC Northern Division. Predicted to finish second in the MEAC Preseason Poll, Morgan State will enter the upcoming MEAC Tennis Championship, as the No. 3 seed out of the northern division.

"It was a good day for us," said Morgan State head coach Matt Townes. "We improved on our position for championships, as well as finished out the regular season with a 'W'. I'm excited to see us perform next week."
