ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Morgan State men's tennis team was only able to record a single win as they fell to Navy, 6-1, as the Tose Family Center in Annapolis on Saturday. 

As a result of the loss, the Bears fall to a 2-7 overall record, while Navy improved to 9-6.

The Bears began their morning by getting swept in each of the doubles matches. The Bears' duo of Felix Andre and Treajh Ferguson lost to Auston Jones and Thomas, 6-2, at No. 1, while Jeremy Field and Arjun Ramakrishnan dropped a 6-3 decision to Krishna Jana and Tucker Massie at No. 2. Navy also recorded a 6-1 win at No. 3 as Andrew Hicks and Cameron Kirkpatrick dispatched MSU's Lucas Krusinski and Evan Ward.

The Mids proceeded to win five of six singles matches to pull away in the end. Evan Ward was the only Bears to record a victory as he held off Andrey Majkic, 6-4,4-6, 6-3, at No. 3 singles.

Morgan State will continue on the road when they travel to take on the Loyola Greyhounds on Wednesday, March 16.
