GREENSBORO, N.C. (March 24, 2016)-The Morgan State women's tennis team ended a season-long four-match losing skid with a 4-1 non-conference victory at North Carolina A&T on Thursday afternoon.
 
Neither team won the doubles point, as neither squad had players for the No. 3 doubles position. The two teams did split the first two doubles matches played with the host Aggies winning the No. 1 doubles match by a score of 6-1. Morgan State bounced back with Danielle Thompson and Chloe Kabamba teaming together at No. 2 doubles to win 6-3.
 
Morgan State (3-6) would go on to win four of the five singles matches that were played to earn the win. Kayla Price won her No. 1 singles match with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Sheyla Ramirez of N.C. A&T. Kabamba earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3, while Cierra Plummer captured a 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 4. Chelsi Russell was awarded a forfeit victory over Staisha Cain at No. 5
 
The Aggies' lone victory came from Khalia Powell, who recorded a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles.
 
The Lady Bears will play host to Saint Joseph's on Saturday, March 26 at 3 p.m. at the MSU Tennis Courts. It will be the home opener for Morgan State.
