BALTIMORE, Md. -- Larry Brihm Jr. ran 48 yards for a touchdown and threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Keavon Mitchell in the fourth quarter to power Bethune-Cookman to a 41-10 victory over Morgan State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference battle Saturday. Brihm helped propel the Wildcats to their third consecutive victory and the program's fifth consecutive win over the Bears since 2010.

It marked the Bears fourth straight loss.

Uriel Hernandez kicked field goals from 23 and 25-yards out and Jamaruz Thompkins powered in from 2-yards out to cap a 10-play, 45-yard drive as the Wildcats (3-5, 3-3) built a 20-3 lead at intermission.

Brihm was 16 of 28 passing for 235 yards and a touchdown and carried 12 times for 62 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell finished with four catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.

The Wildcats entered the contest surrendering an average of 192 rushing yards per game. Morgan State was held to just 32 yards on 30 carries. The Bears were also limited to 125 yards through the air.

Chris Andrews completed just 10 of his 28 pass attempts for 113 yards. Ladarious Spearman led the Bears receiving unit with four catches for 34 yards.

Morgan State's only touchdown of the game was setup by an 88-yard kickoff return by William King to open the second half of play.  Three plays later Andrews scored on a 17-yard run.  The point after by Alex Raya trimmed the Wildcats' lead to 20-10 with 13:26 remaining in the third quarter.

It was the first time the Bears have scored in the third quarter since a field goal against Delaware State during Homecoming on Oct. 1.

Special teams miscues accelerated Bears' demise.  Following a 3-and-out on the Bears' second drive of the half, Chris Clack's 17-yard punt was return 18-yards by Brandon Brooks to the MSU 26.  Less than two minutes and four plays later, Tupac Isme crossed paydirt for a 1-yard TD run to give the Wildcats a 27-10 lead with 8:08 remaining in the third quarter.

BCU scored the remaining points in the fourth quarter. Brihm connected with Keavon Mitchell for a 44-yard TD strike (11:28), and Jaime Wilson was on the end of a 25-yard TD pass by backup quarterback Akevious Williams (8:35) would provide the winning margin of 41-10.

Morgan State was out gained by the Wildcats by a 495 to 157 margin.

Junior lineman Jai Franklin led the Bears defense with eight tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and registered a sack.

The Bears will return to action next week when they travel to Tallahassee for a contest against Florida A&M on Saturday.
