BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 29, 2016)-The Morgan State volleyball team will close out its 2016 home slate this Sunday afternoon, when the Lady Bears host Delaware State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division contest at Hill Field House. First serve is at 3 p.m.
The match, which will be the Lady Bears' annual Dig Pink event to bring awareness to breast cancer, as well as raise funds to help eradicate breast cancer, will also mark Senior Day for the Lady Bears' lone senior Haley McClure, who will be playing in the final home contest of her collegiate career.

Sunday afternoon's match-up will be the 57th meeting between the two teams, with Morgan State holding a 42-14 all-time series lead against the Hornets.
Morgan State (5-19, 5-4 MEAC), which has struggled at home this season, will be looking to close out strong in its home finale. The Lady Bears enter Sunday's match with a 3-4 mark at Hill Field House, following a 3-0 loss to visiting Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday night.
Junior Keana Browne finished with a team-high eight kills, while senior Haley McClure added six kills and nine digs. Sophomore Natashia Barker and freshman Jasmine Hubbard each totaled 10 digs and freshman Roi Wallace recorded 18 assists and a match-high four service aces.
Morgan State had a hitting percentage of -.020 with 22 kills and 24 errors on 99 attempts. The Lady Bears did tally seven service aces to four by UMES. The hosts also held a 5.0-4.0 blocking advantage with Barker leading the way with a match-high three blocks. Victoria Turnbough added two blocks.
Delaware State (1-24, 1-8 MEAC) will enter the contest riding high after picking up its first win of the season on Friday evening at Coppin State. The Hornets would defeat the Eagles in four sets to end a 24-match losing skid to start the season.
Sabina Szmajduch finished with a team-high 19 kills and added 11 digs to earn a double-double for Delaware State. Nakia Jones recorded 12 kills and had a hitting percentage of. 435 for the Hornets, who as a team finished with a .208 hitting percentage with 45 kills and 19 errors on 125 attempts. Alliyah McBean had a match-high 17 digs, while Gabriella Enriquez notched 36 assists.
Morgan State, which currently sits in third-place in the northern division, has won the last 10 meetings against Delaware State dating back to the 2011 season.Â
