Bears ranked ninth in Boxtorow Preseason poll

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Already picked fifth to finish in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, the Bears were chosen ninth in the 2015 Boxtorow FCS HBCU Preseason football coaches' poll.
 
MSU head coach Lee Hull led the Bears to a 7-6 record last season and captured its first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship since 1979, and its first NCAA Division I Playoff berth.
 
The Bears enter the 2015 season with 65 returners and a league-best 10 preseason All-MEAC performers, including starting running back Herb Walker Jr., the school's single season rushing leader. 
  
The Bears are 29 days away from their season opener at Air Force, September 5th. MSU's home-opener at Hughes Stadium will be on September 19 against Virginia-Lynchburg.
