BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Morgan State men's tennis team added two players to its 2015 signing class. MSU head coach Matt Townes announced the signing of Jeremy Field of France, and Niclas Hoeppner of Germany.

Field, a 0/6 rated player, has been ranked as high as the Top 40 in juniors in France. Some of Field's best results are a Quarterfinal finish at Les Petits, a major junior tournament in Europe, and the Round of 16 of the French Championships at legendary Roland Garros.

Jeremy is an exceptional athlete," said Townes. "He has a monster serve and a professional level forehand. He is also a great student, and will be in the honors program here at MSU."

Hoeppner is an absolute beast on the court. He stands 6-foot-4, he's left-handed with a killer serve, forehand and net game. He graduated high school with a 3.5 GPA, scored a 1660 on the SAT, and like Field, he will also be in MSU's honors program.

Hoeppner is a top-300 men's player, and has won major tournaments in Germany, including the 2014 Wanne-Eickeler Youth Cup and the 2014 Regional Championships of Westphalia.

"We are so excited about Jeremy and Niclas," Townes said. "They will be instant contributors and will solidify our roster for quite some time.

Townes added, "I think the most interesting thing about both of these young men is their tenacity. They are both extremely determined and already have a 'team-first' mentality. Last season we had a class of three freshmen, and adding these two exceptional talents will give us a tremendous core of talent for the next three years."

"Time to eat!"
