(Feb. 20, 2015)-Jessica Griffin was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, while driving in four RBI and two runs scored and Demi Meza finished 3-for-4 with a game-high five RBI and two runs scored to lead host Stetson to a 15-2 victory in five innings over Morgan State in Game 2 on Friday evening at Wilson Field.

The victory completed a doubleheader sweep for the host Hatters, who defeated the Lady Bears 9-0 in the opening game. Stetson would combine to score 24 runs on 30 hits in the two games.

Griffin would finish the day going 7-for-8 with two doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI in two games for the Hatters. Griffin now has five home runs in her last three games.

Stetson (5-3) got on the board first with two runs in the bottom of the second inning. Morgan State evened the score at 2-2 with two runs in the top of the third inning.

The Hatters went back to work in the bottom half of the third, scoring 10 runs to take a commanding 12-2 lead.

Stetson would add three more runs in the fourth inning before the game would be called in the fifth inning, due to the run-rule with the deficit at 12 runs..

The host Hatters would finish the game scoring 15 runs on 17 hits. Morgan State would score two runs on five hits.

Audrianna Alvarez and
Danielle Pitpit, who all went 1-for-2 at the plate. Nicole Vandenberg and
Claudette Tanabe-Smith also tallied a hit in the loss.

Chelsea Hostetler (3-2) of Stetson was awarded the victory, as she pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out three Morgan State batters. Morgan State's
Nicole Holguin (0-1) received the loss.

The two teams will complete their four-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday at Wilson Field. First pitch of Game 1 is at 1 p.m. The second game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
