BEARS TO FACE HIGH POINT SATURDAY
The Morgan State Bears will be playing the first game of a three-game road trip when they travel to face the High Point Panthers on Saturday, Nov. 28th. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Bears will attempt to extend its winning streak to three games.

THE SERIES
• Saturday will mark the third meeting between the teams and the Bears lead the series 2-0 since 2012.
• Dec. 19, 2013 - Justin Black scored 23 points to lead five Morgan State players in double figures as the Bears defeated High Point 85-74 at Hill Field House.
The Bears (3-7), led 43-36 at halftime and used a 13-2 run midway through the second half to help extend to their largest lead of 17 points, 72-55, with 9:22 left. The Panthers wouldn't get closer than nine after that.
• Feb. 23, 2013 - Junior Justin Black scored 20 points and sophomore Blake Bozeman had 13 to lead the Bears to a 75-68 victory over non-conference opponent High Point before a packed house at the Millis Center. With the win the Bears improved to 4-1 in ESPN Bracketbuster games since 2009, and snapped the Panthers 7-game winning streak.

PREVIEWING THE PANTHERS
• High Point returns three starters and 11 letterwinners from its 2014-15 squad that went 23-10, and went 13-5 and tied for first place in Big South play. The Panthers went to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they went 1-1.
Scott Cherry (North Carolina, '93) enters his 7th season as the Panthers' head men's basketball coach. He currently holds a 99-93 record and is 62-42 in Big South action. He has led HPU to three regular season championships and three postseason appearances.
• High Point was picked 1st in the 2015-16 Big South Conference Preseason Poll.
• For the third consecutive year, redshirt-senior John Brown has been voted the Big South Conference Preseason Player of the Year. Brown is currently leading the Panthers averaging 18.0 points per game, 6.8 rebounds and is shooting 57 percent from the field. He's also adding 1.8 assists with 10 blocked shots. Senior Adam Weary, a preseason Big South Second Team selection, is also averaging double figures for the Panthers (12.8 ppg, 5.4 rpg), along with senior Lorenzo Cugini (13.8 ppg, 5 rpg).
• High Point is shooting 44 percent from the floor as a team and has connected on 21-of-66 (.318) 3-pointers.
• The Panthers are coming off an 49-46 loss at Georgia on Wednesday night inside Stegeman Coliseum. HPU held the Bulldogs to just three field goals in the second half but could not quite pull ahead in the end. Georgia led by three (49-46) with 11 seconds left, but a pair of 3-pointers from junior Anthony Lindauer rimmed out on the final Panther possession as the Bulldogs escaped with the victory.
