(Nov. 18, 2014)-Morgan State welcomes Wesley College to Hill Field House this Tuesday, Nov. 18, as Morgan State kicks off its 2014-15 home slate at 5:30 p.m. Morgan State is coming off back-to-back losses during its visit to the Peach State against Georgia (68-36) and Georgia Tech (105-76) to open the season. This will be the second straight year the two teams have met, with Morgan State holding a 1-0 series lead over Wesley after winning last season's contest in Baltimore.

ABOUT THE WOLVERINES: Wesley (1-1) enters Tuesday's contest coming off a runner-up finish in the Neumann Tournament following a 59-49 loss to host Neumann (Nov. 16). Brionna Johnson scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds in the loss. Tiara White also recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Roniece Williams added 11 points for the Wolverines.

WILLIAMS NAMED MEAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Freshman
Tykyrah Williams was named MEAC Rookie of the Week by the league office on Monday. A native of Durham, N.C., Williams scored a season-best thus far 13 points on the road at Georgia Tech (11/16). Williams also added a team-high five rebounds three assists and a team-high three steals against the Yellow Jackets.

HARRINGTON SETS CAREER-HIGH AT GEORGIA TECH: MSU sophomore
Ivy Harrington finished a perfect 9-for-9 from the floor and scored a career-high 20 points at Georgia Tech (11/16/14). The nine field goals was also a career-best. Harrington also added four rebounds.

WELCOME TO "THE A": The Lady Bears made just their second trip to Atlanta in ten years under head coach
Donald Beasley when they square off against the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets on Sunday, Nov. 16. It will also be the Lady Bears' first trip back to the city also known as Hotlanta and The Big Peach since the 2009-10 season when Morgan State participated in the Georgia State Tournament. This will be the first meeting between Morgan State and Georgia Tech.

LADY BEARS TAKE IN NBA GAME: Before heading over to Athens, Ga., for its season-opener against the University of Georgia, the Morgan State women's basketball team spent the first night of their five-day road trip in Atlanta and attended the Atlanta Hawks-Utah Jazz game on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Phillips Arena. The home team Hawks would hold on for a 100-97 victory.

BEASLEY SIX WINS SHY OF SCHOOL RECORD: Entering his 10th year at the helm at Morgan State, head coach
Donald Beasley enters the 2014-15 season needing six victories to become the program's all-time coaching leader. Beasley, who currently ranks second on the school's all-time list with a mark of 117-157. LaRue Fields (122-60 from 1979-85) is the school's all-time leader.

MORGAN IN SEASON OPENERS: The Lady Bears, who will opened up the 2014-15 campaign on the road for the first time in three years, fell to 10-28 all-time in season openers dating back to 1977, following its 68-32 setback at Georgia (11/14). Morgan State at one point had lost 23 straight season openers, prior to winning three straight from 2006-08. Last season the Lady Bears opened up at home and suffered a 94-86 overtime loss to Division II Lincoln-Pa.
