GAME TIME
The Bears (5-5, 4-3) will travel to face Hampton (6-4, 4-3) in the season finale on Saturday (Nov. 19) at Armstrong Stadium. Hampton eased past Delaware State with a 42-6 home victory last Saturday. Morgan State (5-5, 4-3) was routed 47-14 at Hughes Stadium as Norfolk State clinched its first-ever Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference football title. Game time at Armstrong Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. and there will be a live radio broadcast of the game on WEAA, 88.9 FM.
THE BEAR-PIRATES MATCHUP
• The Bears and Pirates will meet for the 62nd time in history ... Morgan State leads the series 36-22-2 since 1930.
• During their last matchup, Morgan State managed just 10 first downs and 142 yards of total offense, giving up the game-winning touchdown on a 23-yard pass from David Legree to Javaris Brown with 46 seconds left in a 21-16 loss to Hampton. • The last time the two teams met at Armstrong Stadium was on November 21, 2009. With 1:54 remaining in the game, the Pirates got the ball on Morgan State's 42-yard line for what would be the final drive of the game. On this final drive, the Pirates committed three penalties and lost a total of 51 yards, which ended in a 44-yard field goal attempt by freshman Jordan Stovall that came up short, giving the Bears a 16-13 win on Hampton's Senior Day.

• The Bears will attempt to close out the 2011 season with a 6-5 overall mark, that would be the third time since 2003 (6-5) the Bears had finished with a record above.500.

• Saturday's game pits Hampton's No. 5 ranked scoring offense (27.0 avg/g) in the MEAC against the Bears' No. 8 ranked scoring defense (26.1 avg/g).

Tierney Yates posted double-figures in tackles with 11 last week against the Spartans.

Zary Stewart recorded six tackles, three tackles for a loss and had a sack last week against Norfolk State.

HAMPTON NOTES
• Hampton has won seven of the last eight meetings against the Bears, including a 21-16 win in Hughes Stadium during the 2010 season finale.
• The last time Morgan State beat the Spartans was on Nov. 4, 2006 when the Bears pulled out a 29-20 road victory.
• Coach Donald Hill-Eley's teams have posted a 2-7 record against the Pirates and have gone 0-2 at Armstrong Stadium.
• The Pirates undoubtedly boasted one of the nation's best defenses in 2010, finishing the season ranked third among all Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) teams in total defense – giving up just 271.5 yards a game. Hampton was also tied for ninth among FCS teams, with conference rival Florida A&M, in scoring defense after giving up just 18.4 points per contest.
