Bear Bits: Returns as the team’s second leading rusher … prepared to challenge for the starting RB position … very athletic and muscular frame with excellent quickness and power … once he passes the line of scrimmage, he has enough strength to break tackles and go the distance …  As a Redshirt Junior at MSU: saw action in every game, including three starts … had a touchdown saving tackle against Howard ... posted a season-high 65 yards on 19 carries at North Dakota State ... had 11 carries for 20 yards at Maryland ... saw 27 touches in his debut as a Bear against Bowie State for a total of 62 yards ... completed the season with 266 yards on 95 carries ... also had two receptions for 12 yards ... As a running back at Rutgers: made his mark with the Scarlet Knights, racking up nearly 800 yards and 10 touchdowns in his two seasons, including three 100-yard games ... High School: played running back for Seneca Valley in 2007 … team finished 8-2 and were the West Regional Champions … A Closer Look: was recruited by Rutgers, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Syracuse and Maryland … father, Maurice, was an All-conference linebacker for Morgan State's 1979 MEAC Championship team that finished with a 9-2 overall record ... was a teammate of current Baltimore Raven RB Ray Rice.
