Bozier on Tara: “Tara is a solid athlete who brings experience of being a ‘go to’ hitter at her junior college. I believe once she learns our system, she could be one of our starters.”

2009-10 (at Nassau Community College): Spent her academic sophomore year playing on the volleyball team at Nassau Community College…Finished the season with 205 kills and 35 blocks, which ranked ninth and 11th, respectively…Helped the Lions to a NJCAA Region XV Division III Tournament Championship…Earned All-Region XV second team honors and was named MVP of the NJCAA Region XV Tournament…Was coached by Kristine Abrams.

2007-09 (at Briarcliffe College): Spent her academic freshman year as a walk-on member of the of the 2007-08 basketball team at Briarcliffe, a sport she hadn’t played since her freshman year in high school.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball while at Uniondale...Helped the Knights to a conference title as a junior…Earned all-conference honors as a senior…Was coached by Scott Dunn…Also played on the Knights basketball team during her freshman season…Was on the honor roll and involved in such activities as Kickline and Athletes Helping Athletes.

Personal: Born March 15, 1989, in Queens, N.Y….Daughter of Anthony and Bernice Wallace…Is a biology/nursing major…Hobbies include swimming, exercising and being outdoors.
