Biography

At A Glance: Was a powerful addition to the right side in 2006...An All-MEAC Tournament Team selection, who initially was recruited by Coach Bozier out of high school.

2006 At Morgan State (Junior): Became a great addition to the team, finishing second on the team in kills (363) and service aces (41) and third in blocks (67)...Was selected to the MEAC All-Tournament Team...Received the team’s Coach’s Award...Recorded six double-doubles and reached double figures in kills 21 times…Totaled a career-high 24 kills and added 18 digs at Maryland-Eastern Shore (11/9)…Had a career-high 20 digs and a career-tying four aces at Saint Francis-Pa. (10/25)…Tallied 18 kills and 12 digs against Bethune-Cookman (10/14) at the MEAC Round-Up...Finished with 12 kills and 13 digs at Hampton (9/26) to record her first career double-double at Morgan State...Notched 17 kills, eight digs and four blocks, to help Morgan to its first-ever win over rival UMBC (9/23)...Recorded a career-high six blocks at Robert Morris (9/17)...Totaled 19 kills and six digs versus Texas A&M at the Hilton Classic (8/26).

2005 (Sophomore): Helped the Owls to a 29-3 finish, including a 9-0 Atlantic Sun record, as Florida Atlantic claimed its second consecutive conference title…Played in 39 games and totaled season bests in kills (31), service aces (4), digs (38) and blocks with 14…Recorded two kills and four digs against fourth-ranked Florida in the first round of the NCAA Championship (12/1)…Named to the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team.

2004 (Freshman): Saw action in 14 matches and made two starts for a Florida Atlantic squad which captured the Atlantic Sun Conference championship…Picked up 13 kills in 33 attempts for a .273 hitting percentage…Tallied a season-high four kills and added three digs and two blocks against Florida International (11/9)…Named to the Atlantic Sun Commissioner’s All-Academic Team.

High School: Was a two-sports athlete in basketball and volleyball at Heart Lake Secondary School…Served as team captain as a junior and senior…Helped the Hurricanes to a 14-0 record and a regular season title...Named team MVP her senior season…Graduated as an Ontario scholar and was on the honor roll all four years…Played for Adrian Burrows…A member of the Peel Selects club team…Was captain of the 2003-04 team that won the Provincial bronze medal and competed against the U.S. Junior National team in 2003…Received the Ontario volleyball award of excellence in 2004 and participated on the Region 5 Team in 2003 and 2004...Coached by Pat Daniels.

Jeniqua is not only a good all-around player, but she takes volleyball very serious, which allows her to show her leadership abilities on the court. She has the ability to play outside hitter or right side, which is nice because it gives me some flexibility to move her around.”
