Kevin Jones enters his second year as an assistant coach with the Morgan State men’s basketball program.
Jones was previously the assistant director of basketball operations and video coordinator at Radford University (2018-19) where he oversaw all things video and technology. He aided in player development through video study, managed video edits and highlights and assisted with maintaining a recruiting database.
Prior to Radford, Jones was an assistant coach at Norfolk State (2015-18) where he helped guide the Spartans to back-to-back second-place finishes in the MEAC and coached three All-MEAC guards.
Jones played an important role in scouting, recruiting and game preparation while also serving as the program's Community Service Outreach Coordinator and the Head Academic Liaison.
He has also built up his collegiate basketball resume at Coppin State, where he was an assistant coach in 2014-15. There, Jones coached the guards while helping with recruiting, scouting, compliance and more. Prior to his time at CSU, Jones spent two seasons as an assistant varsity coach at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. He also coached at the AAU level for six years from 2009-14.
Jones graduated from Bowie State University in Maryland with a degree in Sociology in 2000.
