Hans Desir enters his fourth season on the Bears staff and has over 10 years of coaching experience. He was previously lead assistant coach for J.T. Burton at Motlow College.
Prior to his arrival at Motlow, the Miami native was the head coach for one season at TAAG Academy in Tampa. Before departing the post-graduate prep school, Desir helped four of his players secure scholarships to play at the collegiate level.
He spent the previous season as a graduate assistant at Wright State University under Head Coach Billy Donlon.
Desir spent three seasons with Burton at St Catharine College in Springfield, Ky., where he helped the Patriots enjoy record-setting success, including their first NAIA national tournament bid in 2010 and a top 10 national ranking. He also served as the Patriots' academic liaison and helped raise and maintain the basketball team's grade-point average to 3.0 during his tenure.
Over the past five years, Desir has had the honor of coaching two players who have gone on to play professionally, two All-Americans, and six all-conference performers.
He received a bachelor's degree from St Catharine in 2011 and a master's degree from the same school in 2013.
