Biography

Aaris Johnson will once again be one of the best defensive tackles in the league. Big, strong, quick player who is capable of dominating the line of scrimmage and clearly played a major part in the success MSU's defense against the run. Chaos-creator.

As a redshirt freshman in 2002...Emerged as one of the most feared defensive tackles in the MEAC...demanded double-teams on every play...has a great motor and a knack for hunting down opposing ballcarriers...he concluded the season with 43 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks...was selected as the team's Defensive Player of the Year...had a productive off-season in which he worked on his technique and quickness...a passionate player with a high- motor and a desire to play every down like its his last...will be a frontrunner for postseason honors.
