Moses Skillon completed 10-of-23 passes for 134 yards, including a 34-yard TD pass to junior
Marcolm Banks. Skillon also added a season-high 104 yards on seven carries, including a pair of TDs (3, 48 yds).
• Starting junior running back
Orlando Johnson had 52 yards (5.2 avg) on 10 carries and scored on an 3-yard TD run. He also added an 11-yard catch.
• Redshirt junior
Lamont Brown III finished with 37 yards on nine carries, before leaving the ballgame in the third quarter.
• Senior wideout
Andrew King led the Bears with four receptions for 22 yards and had four punt returns for 28 yards, including a long of 16 yards.
• Freshman
Darius Johnson posted his second career interception when he picked off Savannah State quarterback Leon Prunty late in the fourth quarter. • Starting safety
Peterson Janvier stood back in his own endzone and caught a 50-yard field goal attempt from John Barron that was short, used his blocks and ran the ball into the endzone from 108 yards out. But according to the NCAA rules, it will count as a 100-yard effort. Janvier also posted an interception return for 42-yards and finished with five tackles.
• Junior center
Dominique Woods led the Bears in the trenches during an impressive victory against Savannah State. The Texas native graded at 96 percent. He played without any penalties or missed assignments and did not surrender a single sack, totaling three knockdown blocks. The veteran center helped the Bears garner a whopping 366 total yards, including a season-high 232 on the ground.
• Junior
Greg Gibson and sophomore
Damare Whitaker led the Bears defense combining for 16 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
• Senior linebacker
Joel Scott recorded 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack and recorded his first interception when he picked off Archon Spaulding in the first quarter. The Bears also had four separate defenders record five or more total tackles.
• Redshirt sophomore nose tackle
Jai Franklin posted three tackles, with two tackles for loss and a QB hurry.
• Freshman linebacker
Mike Gaynor matched a season-high with six tackles (3 solo) and had a QB hurry.
• On special teams, junior
Chris Moller averaged 38.3 yards per punt, including a 53-yarder and four punts inside the 20. He also averaged 56.6 yards per kickoff and nailed six extra points.

• Morgan State’s offense totaled a season high 251 rushing yards and 134 passing yards.
• The Bears held Savannah State to 153 passing yards and finished with nine tackles for loss, four sacks to go along with three interceptions. The Bears allowed a season low 160 rushing yards.
• On special teams, the Bears gave up a season low average of -1.1 yards per punt return and 12.6 yards per kick return.
• The Bears returned a pair of interceptions in the first quarter and post one in the fourth quarter.
