On if the last sequence just came down to a few missed tackles:

“We had told the guys all year that that team (NCCU) breeds off of turnovers and we picked today to have turnovers. We had a turnover in the punting game, a turnover in the offensive game and they just bred on the turnovers.”
 
“When it came down to the last play, 4^th and 2, it was just one of those situations where the kid made a good catch on the ball. There are probably some different things that we could have done, but it shouldn’t have come down to that.”
 
“I just think that second half (those 30 minutes) we didn’t show up, and for whatever reason we didn’t get a lot of offensive play during the second half. We had two linemen go down and in that situation we should have still had guys that were getting it done. That’s what they [NCCU] did, hung around and won games, and they hung around here today and won one.”
 
On the turnover by Travis Davidson in the second half:
 
“You’re never happy about any of them (turnovers), but to let the team down on that very first play… and we already said that we have momentum let’s go out and drive the football, lets make our plays… and we turn it over and put them right back in the ball game and the rest is history.”

On moving forward at 2-1 in the MEAC heading into a Howard’s homecoming:
 
“All these weeks are big. Moving forward we understand that when it comes down, it’s not so much concern with where we play, it’s how we play. We can’t just go and turn the ball over, we aren’t that good where we can just turn the ball over and beat people. We can’t give them extra opportunities and that’s what we did today.”

On Travis Davidson's performance:
 
“He had two touchdowns and one turnover; it’s never a great performance in a loss. We have some correcting to do and we have to find a way to collectively correct them and we’re going to get it done.”
