Biography

Vincent Brown is an above average athlete who is physical and has a nose for the ball and a knack for making big plays. He's coming off a brilliant first season with the Bears and will play a big role in the success of Morgan State Bears. He enters the 2004 season as a Preseason All-MEAC selection.

As a junior in 2003...Had a brilliant season...started in every game and earned 2nd Team All-MEAC honors at his linebacker position...led the Bears with 96 tackles (59 solo)...22 tackles for a loss of 100 yards...collected 5 sacks...forced 2 fumbles and recovered three...had three pass breakups and blocked a field goal...recorded 10 or more tackles in 5 games...finished with a season-high 14 tackles (9 solo) vs. North Carolina A&T (10/11)...had 12 tackles (10 solo) vs. Hampton (9/27)...passionate player with tremendous instincts...should contend for All-American honors in 2004. 

A closer look... Division 1 transfer from the University of Memphis...standout linebacker and running back for the E.C. Glass Hilltoppers under head coach Dennis  Peters...All-Region District... had 92 solo tackles as a senior... set single-game record by recoding 22 tackles in a game... lettered and was All-State in basketball... mentored at the Hunton YMCA... member of  Who's Who Among High School Students... volunteered at the YMCA as a peer leader advisor.. enjoys reading, working out, and fishing...his career ambition is to get a degree and help kids..originally from Detroit, MI...born 10-3-80.
