Bozier on Dominique: “It can be tough playing for your mother, but she has managed to do it and plays with a lot of passion. Dominique enjoys competing and has confidence in her ability. It’s unfortunate she has played with back pains, but she tries not to let it slow her down. Is one of the team’s captains, who is hungry for the big prize of winning the MEAC championship. Dominique never truly trained to play volleyball, but has shown improvement every year, so the expectations are she will be better than she was last year.”
2009 (Junior): Played in all 103 games played, finishing with 121 kills, a team-leading 70 blocks, 19 digs and 12 assists…Ranks 10th all-time at Morgan State in career blocks with 159…Finished with six kills, two digs and three blocks against Bethune-Cookman (11/20) at the MEAC Tournament…Had seven kills, five blocks, one assist and two digs at Howard (10/30)…Totaled a career-high 12 kills and added three blocks against Coppin State (10/16)…Recorded a season-best three assists, five kills, a dig and two blocks at American (9/29)…Notched six kills and a solo block against North Carolina Central (9/11)…Tallied five blocks, four kills and two digs against Campbell (8/28) at the N.C. 2008 (Sophomore): Led the team in blocks with 35, despite missing the first eight matches played, while recovering from a back injury…Played in a total of 66 games, recording 42 kills, four assists, seven service aces and 14 digs…Finished with three kills on six attempts for a season-high .333 hitting percentage and added two blocks in Morgan’s 3-2 loss to Hampton (11/2), which eliminated the Lady Bears from MEAC postseason…Had a season-high three aces and added a kill, two digs and two blocks against Maryland Eastern Shore (10/19)…Totaled four kills, three blocks and a dig in a loss at Hampton (10/17), Morgan’s first-ever loss to the Lady Pirates in 31 meetings…Collected a season-high five kills, two aces, a dig and a block at rival Coppin State (10/10), to help the Lady Bears to their 41st consecutive win over the Lady Eagles…Tallied four kills and two blocks against North Carolina State (9/19) in the opener of the East Carolina Tournament…Made her season debut at Loyola-Md. 2007 (Freshman): Received the team’s rookie of the year award…Saw action in 18 matches and totaled 74 kills and 52 digs in her debut season with the Lady Bears…Ranked third on the team in total blocks with 54 and ranked fifth among MEAC leaders in blocks per contest with (0.83 bpg)…Tied with Esther Johnson for second on the team with 20 aces…Totaled three kills, a career-high three assists and three blocks against Bethune-Cookman (11/16) in the opening round of the MEAC Championships…Had a career-high 10 digs, added seven kills and tied a career high with six blocks against Delaware State (10/22) to help the team record its season-long fifth consecutive victory…Finished with a career-high four aces, five kills and six digs at Howard (10/9)…Tallied a then career-high 10 kills and added two digs and four blocks at UMBC (9/22) during the UMBC Tri-Match.
