BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 7, 2026)--Morgan State sophomore setter Isabelle Brown was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Setter of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
 
This is the first weekly honor this season and the third overall for Brown, who also received the honor twice last season as a freshman.
 
Delaware State's Aaliyah Mitchell was named MEAC Player of the Week and teammate Duura Kpea was named MEAC Rookie of the Week. Coppin State's Coco Figueroa earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Week.
   
A native of Avon, Ind., Brown averaged 6.8 assists and 1.9 digs per set for the week, while totaling 82 assists, 23 digs, 10 kills, and a solo block in three matches. Brown began the week recording a match-high 31 assists, five kills, two service aces and a block to help Morgan State earn its first win of the season, following a 3-1 victory over Saint Peter's (9/4) in the Bears' home opener. A day later Brown followed up that performance with a double-double, collecting 30 assists and 12 digs against Loyola Maryland (9/5), before concluding the week with a match-high 21 assists, six digs, two aces and a kill against Towson (9/6).
 
Morgan State (1-5) returns to the court this Friday, Sept. 11, when it hosts Georgetown (4-2) in the opener of the Battle of the Beltway. First serve is at 6 p.m. at Hill Field House and will steam live on the MEAC Network.
