BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 21, 2026)--Morgan State sophomore setter Isabelle Brown was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Setter of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
 
This is the second weekly honor this season and the fourth overall for Brown, who also received the award earlier this season (9/7).
 
Coppin State's Eva Rovell was named MEAC Player of the Week and teammate Kayden Cupid was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week. North Carolina Central's Breylan Fairley was named MEAC Rookie of the Week.
   
A native of Avon, Ind., Brown played in all three matches, averaging 7.2 assists and 2.4 digs per set. She started all 11 sets recording 79 assists, 26 digs, nine kills, four service aces and two blocks, including one solo block for the week.
 
Brown began the week collecting 25 assists, three service aces, eight digs and a solo block in four sets against host Ohio in the tournament opener. She then recorded a double-double with 26 assists, 10 digs and hit .600 with three kills against Mercyhurst. Brown concluded the week totaling 28 assists, eight digs, a block and an ace, while adding five kills and hitting .444 for the match in the finale against UNC Asheville.
 
Morgan State (1-11) returns to action on Friday, Sept. 25, when it travels to Virginia's Tidewater area to take on Norfolk State in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opener for both teams. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Gill Gymnasium in Norfolk, Va. and will stream live on the MEAC Network.
 
The Spartans (3-9) are in the midst of a three-match losing skid, following three losses to Bellarmine, Radford and UT Chattanooga over the weekend in the Radford Tournament.
