UMBC increased its lead to 5-0 in the fourth inning on an RBI single through the left side by Taylor Nicholson and an RBI single hit up the middle by Sophie Anderson.

The hosts then closed out the scoring with two more runs in the fourth highlighted by Emily Riggs' triple to right field to score Kenzie Nicholson for the sixth run. Riggs would score the final run on the very next play when Taylor Nicholson singled to shortstop.
