BALTIMORE, Md. (October 9, 2026) -- The Morgan State football team will bring the orange when the Bears host the Robert Morris Colonials on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Hughes Stadium. Morgan State will take the field in white helmets, orange jerseys, and orange pants for the noon ET Homecoming kickoff.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+, with radio coverage on WEAA 88.9 FM.
The Bears last wore the orange-on-orange combination on Sept. 27, 2025, delivering a memorable finish in the 41st Annual Circle City Classic at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
With 77 seconds remaining and Miles College's Reid Grek lining up for a 27-yard field goal attempt that could have given the Golden Bears the lead, Morgan State's special teams came up with a game-changing play. Josiah Blake burst through the edge and got a hand on the kick, sending the ball bouncing into the path of Jadon Carter. The nominee for the prestigious Aeneas Williams Award scooped up the loose ball and raced 94 yards for a touchdown, sealing the Bears' 24-17 victory over Miles College.
The return was another special-teams highlight for Carter, who previously scored on a 77-yard blocked field goal return in Morgan State's 2024 victory over Norfolk State.
Saturday's contest will mark just the third meeting between Morgan State and Robert Morris. The Bears won the inaugural matchup, 13-12, at Hughes Stadium on Sept. 17, 2011. Robert Morris claimed a 31-14 victory in the most recent meeting on Sept. 7, 2013, in Moon Township, Pa.
Morgan State enters Homecoming with a 4-1 record, marking the program's best start since 2009, when the Bears opened the season 5-1 before finishing 6-5. The Bears will look to extend their winning streak to four games while celebrating Homecoming with the Morgan community.
Kickoff is set for noon ET at Hughes Stadium.
