Kelton Sparks Named MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Week

BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 12, 2026) — Morgan State sophomore offensive lineman Kelton Sparks has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Offensive Lineman of the Week following his dominant performance in the Bears' thrilling 28-27 Homecoming victory over Robert Morris on Saturday at Hughes Stadium.

Sparks was certainly living up to his name, igniting the offensive line with a 93-percent grade and four knockdowns while helping keep the Bears' offense firing on all cylinders.

Sparks anchored a Morgan State offensive line that delivered a standout performance against the Colonials, helping the Bears accumulate 369 yards of total offense, including 188 yards on the ground. The unit also protected quarterback Cameron Edge throughout the contest, surrendering zero sacks against the Robert Morris defense.

The Bears' offensive line has played a pivotal role in Morgan State's recent success, creating opportunities for the ground game while providing Edge with the protection needed to lead the offense. The unit's performance against Robert Morris was instrumental in helping the Bears secure the one-point Homecoming win and continue their momentum heading deeper into the season.



The weekly MEAC honor recognizes Sparks' individual excellence and highlights the continued growth and effectiveness of Morgan State's offensive line, known as "The Trench Mob🏴‍☠️."

Morgan State (5-1) will look to build on its winning momentum as the Bears continue their 2026 campaign by traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, to face Tennessee State as part of the Tigers' homecoming festivities. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. (ET) at Nissan Stadium.
