COLLEGE PARK, Md. (Feb. 8, 2025)--The Lady Bears tennis team traveled to College Park, Md. to take on host Maryland in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon at the Junior Tennis Championship Center. Morgan State would drop the contest, 4-0.
Maryland improved to 3-3 on the season with the win, while the Lady Bears dropped to 0-3.
The Terrapins captured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Morgan State's
Hannah Smith and
Lauryn Hall held a 4-3 lead over Maryland's Liu Kallista and Ema Kovacevic in their No. 1 doubles match before the hosts won the doubles point.
Maryland then won three of the six singles matches to secure the 4-0 shutout victory.
Next Up: Morgan State returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 15 when it welcomes Temple for its home opener at Twin Lakes Tennis Club.
