ANNAPOLIS, Md. (March 1, 2025)--The Lady Bears returned to the tennis courts Saturday afternoon, as they traveled to the Naval Academy for a non-conference match. Morgan State would fall to the Mids, 7-0 at the Tose Family Tennis Center.

The Mids (9-8) earned the doubles point after sweeping all three contests, then proceeded to win all six singles matches for the 7-0 final score.

Morgan State (0-4) would force third sets in matches No. 3-5 in singles play. Junior
Lauryn Hall earned a 6-2 victory in the opening set of her No. 3 singles match against Sylvia Eklund. Hall would then fall, 7-5 and 10-7 to lose the match.

Sophomore
Jula Jeffrey, playing at No. 4 singles, dropped the opening set to Navy's Kate Lee, 6-2, before rebounding to earn a 6-2 win in the second set. Jeffrey would fall in the third set by a score of 6-3.

Freshman
Roua Limem also dropped her No. 5 singles opener by a 6-2 score to Peyton Philemon. Limem then recorded a 6-2 win in the second set, before falling 6-2 in the third.    Â
Next Up:Â The Lady Bears (0-4) will travel to Richmond, Va., to face Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at Thalhimer Tennis Center. The Rams (4-5), have dropped four consecutive matches, including a 4-0 loss on Saturday to James Madison. Â
