CARROLLTON, Ga. (Sept. 7, 2024)--The Morgan State volleyball team concluded the West Georgia Tournament with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-18) loss to UNC Asheville on Saturday morning at The Coliseum on the campus of the University of West Georgia.

Madison Grace led the Bears (0-7) with 10 kills, while hitting .316.
Daniela Ferreira also hit .316 and finished with seven kills and
Jada Williams also added seven.
Mya Karrick tallied 16 assists. Defensively, the Bears were paced by
Addison Metts' 11 digs. Ferreira added nine digs and
Mikaela Esparza totaled eight.

The Bulldogs (1-2), who hit .316 as a team, were led by Kylie Cackovic, who tallied 15 kills and added 10 digs to record a double-double. Kat Davis also had a double-double with 15 assists and 10 digs. Michelle Thao recorded 14 digs, four assists and four service aces. Payton Rolfsen collected 26 assists and had eight digs.

Morgan State will be back on the floor on Tuesday, Nov. 10 when it hosts Bowie State for the program's second annual 'Education Day.' First serve is at 11 a.m. at Hill Field House. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 victory over Glenville State on Saturday, in the finale of the Shepherd Tournament. Â
