BALTIMORE, Md. (July 23, 2024) — Eight (8) Morgan State football players were named today to the 2024 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) preseason team, which was voted on by the conference head coaches and sports information directors. The announcement was made in front of a live audience during the MEAC Football Media Show live on ESPN+ at the Hilton Norfolk The Main.
Senior offensive lineman Treyvon Branch, senior defensive lineman Elijah Williams, senior linebacker Erick Hunter, junior return specialist Keith Jenkins Jr. were first-team selections.
Sophomore quarterback Tahj Smith, senior defensive lineman Nana Asante, senior defensive back Carlvainsky Decius, and sophomore defensive back Ja'son Prevard were second-team picks.
The Bears, under the direction of third-year head coach Damon Wilson are predicted to finish third in the MEAC standings, according to the poll of the conference head coaches and sports information directors.
