BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 6, 2024)--Daniela Ferreira hit for a match-best .394 and recorded a match-high 17 kills, but it wasn't enough, as visiting South Carolina State spoiled the Bears' homecoming match, following a 3-1 (25-14, 11-25, 25-23, 25-22) Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) victory on Sunday morning at Hill Field House.

Morgan State dropped to 5-13, 1-3 in the MEAC, while South Carolina State improved to 2-12, 1-3 MEAC.

S.C. State came out in the first set and hit a sizzling .414 with a match-high 14 kills to claim the opening set with a 25-14 victory.
