BALTIMORE, Md. (June 17, 2023)--The Morgan State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has named Braennan Farrar as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance.
Â
"Compliance oversight is an integral part of the department's culture and paramount to the long-term success of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics," said Erlease Wagner, Deputy Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator. "I'm excited to see Braennan's continued growth as she continues to implement new ideas and technology to improve monitoring and educational efforts at Morgan State."
Â
"I'm very grateful for the opportunity and support from the leadership team," said Farrar, who spent the past 2022-23 academic year at Morgan State as the Director of Compliance.
Â
Prior to returning to Morgan State in June 2022, Farrar previously worked as a graduate assistant at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Mo., where she was the assistant coach of the junior varsity women's basketball team.
Â
After graduating from Morgan in 2018, Farrar spent a few months playing in Kosovo, where she teamed up with former Morgan State teammate and current women's basketball assistant coach, Tykyrah Williams. The two would win a regular season title as well as the Kosovo Cup championship. Farrar would earn all-tournament team honors.
Â
Farrar was a four-year letterwinner on the women's basketball team at Morgan State from 2014-18. She finished her career second all-time at Morgan State in both scoring (1,584Â points) and assists (361) and is fourth in steals (276).
Â
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Farrar graduated from Morgan State with a degree in Psychology in 2018. She earned her Master's degree in Sports Management from Missouri Baptist in May 2022.
