Dillon Earns MEAC Field Athletic Of The Week Honor

BALTIMORE, Md. (March 23, 2022) -- Morgan State freshman was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Track Field of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today.

South Carolina State junior Tyler Jeffers was selected as Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

Dillon (Fr., Kingston, Jamaica) set MEAC bests in both the discus throw and the shot put at the Maryland Invitational. He won the discus throw with a mark of 51.18 meters (167 feet, 11 inches), while also finishing third in the shot put with a distance of 15.90 meters (52 feet, 2 inches).

The Morgan State men's track and field team will be back in action when they travel to Columbia, S.C. to compete at the USC Weems Baskin Invitational next Friday and Saturday (3/25-26).
