Men’s Tennis Swept at VCU, 4-0

RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 13, 2022) – Morgan State University men's team suffered a 4-0 loss to Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday at the Thalhimer Tennis Center in Richmond, Va.

Charles Bertimon controlled the action on court one and took a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win for the Rams against sophomore Mikeal Carpenter
 
Maxence Bertimon claimed a commanding 6-0, 6-1 win on court two against graduate student  Nihit Rawal.
 
Torre Martin clinched the match with an equally convincing 6-1, 6-0 victory from court three against sophomore Rhajzon Rankins
 
Doubles (1,2)
The Rams clinched the doubles point with wins on courts one and two.
 
Nihit Rawal and Mikeal Carpenter fell short, 6-3, against the pairing of Charles and Maxence Bertimon.
 
Inigo Torre Martin and Rayane Stable claimed a dominant 6-1 victory from court two against sophomore Martial Kawunde and senior Sebastian Lopez.  
 
Next Up:
Morgan State (1-2) returns to action when they travel to Annapolis for a matchup versus the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, Feb. 26. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
