BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 30, 2022)-Coppin State's Miajavon Coleman recorded a match-high 10 kills and Yaniris Miller-Green added nine, while hitting a match-best .667 to lead the host Eagles to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-18, 25-16) Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) victory on Friday evening at the Physical Education Complex Arena.

Morgan State fell to 2-15, 1-2 MEAC, while Coppin State improved to 12-7, 3-0 MEAC). The win was the third straight for the Eagles, who also captured its fifth straight victory over the Lady Bears.

Andrea Tsvetanova finished with 32 assists and seven digs and Ashley Roman tallied a match-high 16 digs.

The Lady Bears got eight kills from
Madison Grace and
Makila Billingsley added six.
Mackenzie Jefferson tallied eight assists and
Alyssa Sampson led the Lady Bears with 11 digs.

Coppin State finished the match hitting .314 with 39 kills, while holding the Lady Bears to -.047
with 18 kills.

The Lady Bears will be off until next Friday, Oct. 6, when they travel to Washington, D.C. to take on MEAC defending champion Howard. First serve is at 6 p.m. at Burr Gymnasium.
