ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Jan. 30, 2022)-The Morgan State traveled to the Naval Academy on Sunday for a non-conference women's tennis match against the Mids. The Lady Bears would fall to Navy, 7-0 at the Tose Family Tennis Center.
 
Navy improved to 4-0 on the season, while the Lady Bears dropped to 0-3.
 
Doubles
The Mids started off by sweeping all three doubles contests to earn the doubles point. Katreina Corpuz and Meghana Komarraju defeated Averiana Mitchell and Asmara Rose, 6-0 in a No. 1 match. Casey Accola and Corinne Farid earned a 6-2 victory over Nolwenn Cardoso and Hannah Smith at No. 2 doubles. Sylvia Eklund and Kate Lee defeated Stefania Moysiadi and Anabel Torrente in a No. 3 doubles contest, 6-3.
 
Singles
Navy swept five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Hannah Smith took a set from the Mids' Corinne Farid at No. 3 singles, before falling 6-0, 3-6, 3-6.
 
Up Next: Morgan State will be off until Sunday, Feb. 20, when it travels to Harrisonburg, Va. to take on James Madison at noon.
