BALTIMORE, Md. (March 18, 2021)-The Morgan State Lady Bears will look to end their recent season-long two-match losing skid when they travel to the Nation's Capital to face Beltway rial Howard in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) two-match series in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, March 18 and Friday, March 19. Thursday's match will be the first time the Lady Bears have visited Howard, since losing to the Bison in five sets in the 2019 MEAC championship final, hosted by Howard (11/24). First serve for both contests is at 6 p.m. at Burr Gymnasium.

BEAR CLAWS:Â Morgan State (3-3, 2-2 MEAC), is in the midst of a season-long two-match losing skid, following its 3-0 loss at Delaware State (3/15).
Gabriela Hiciano hit for .345 and led the Lady Bears with a match-high 14 kills and added seven digs.
Mykaela Ross had an attack percentage of .440, finishing with 12 kills with just one error on 25 attempts.
Jada Bivins tallied a match-high 32 assists and
Jennevy Santos recorded a team-high 11 digs.
BISON HOOVES:Â Howard (2-8, 1-5 MEAC), losers of six straight, is coming off a 3-0 at Delaware State (3/12). Tamar Wells led the team with six kills, while Kailyn Williams and Jennifer Bolden each had four kills. Milexa Cardona finished with 21 assists. Kendall Smith totaled seven digs, while Remy James and Cardona each had six digs.

MSU VS HU SERIES NOTES:Â Morgan State leads the all-time series against Howard, 40-37, after the Lady Bears won the season opener, 3-0 on Feb. 12 and the second contest of the series in five sets on March 8. Both matches were played in Baltimore.

NEXT UP: Morgan State will travel to Dover, Del. to face Delaware State in a MEAC match on Thursday, March 25 at 6 p.m. at Memorial Hall. The Hornets swept the first meeting (3/15).
