Taylor Addison was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, as announced by the conference office today. This is the first MEAC weekly honor for Addison.

Coppin State redshirt sophomore guard Mossi Staples was selected as the MEAC Player of the Week, while North Carolina Central guard Diamond Thomas was named MEAC Rookie of the Week.

A native of Columbia, Md., Addison averaged 4.5 steals per contest to help the Lady Bears extend their winning streak to three games, following wins over Washington Adventist and Saint Peter's.

The majority of those steals came on the road at Saint Peter's, where she recorded a season-high seven. She also tallied nine points on 4-of-7 shooting, pulled down a game-high seven rebounds and had an assist against the Peacocks.

Addison scored nine points, grabbed five rebounds and totaled two steals earlier in the week against Washington Adventist (11/24).
The Lady Bears return to action on Thursday, Dec. 2 when they travel to Annapolis, Md. to take on Navy at 7 p.m.
